PERFORMANCE
Charter the innovative, modern, fast and powerful new Nautitech Open 40. The Nautitech Open 40 was recently nominated for the European Yacht of the Year 2015 in the Family Cruiser Division. We are excited to have this new catamaran in the charter fleet. The innovative design group created a catamaran that is lightweight with newly designed hulls, structural integrity and increased bridge deck clearance. She performs really well in light air and sails upwind with little leeway. Easy to sail with a self-tacking jib, the Open 40 is fast. Twin helms are unique and afford the helmsman excellent forward and side visibility. The light and sensitive steering wheel enables the helmsman to enjoy the thrill of fast sailing and the performance will appeal to monohull sailors. ACCOMMODATIONS The compact salon and galley area retain all the necessary components. The U-shaped island in the galley creates a large work surface and the galley is equipped with a sink, stove and oven, refrigerator and freezer. The salon is actually a flexible living space with comfortable seating for four and a table used for both dining and chart work. The interior is light and airy with large windows providing a panoramic view. Each of the four cabins, with good ventilation and natural light, has a fan, hanging locker, shelving units and lockers under the bed for storing luggage and large items. There is a bathroom located mid-ship in each hull with vanity, head and shower. The interior décor has a modern look with white surfaces and laminate flooring. Arcadia is equipped with shore side air-conditioning for use while in a marina. ON DECK Redesigning space in a cruising catamaran, the bulkhead that supports the sliding door was moved forward several feet resulting in an unusually large cockpit – where Caribbean sailors want to spend their time. The sides of the cockpit blend into the hardtop and integrated awnings keep the cockpit dry and protected in wet weather. Y-Knot is equipped with a generator and air-conditioning/heat for your comfort. |
